What is a web cast.

A webcast is a transmission of audio and video over the internet. Video cameras at our council meetings capture the live information and send it to a central server, which in turn sends it to anyone who would like to view the meeting. Through the use of an internet connection you can view the meetings from wherever you choose.

Should you miss a meeting, or would like to view a section of the meeting again, you can view the archive of the webcast. The archives allow you to view the meeting at your leisure. And, through the use of the index points, allow you to jump to a specific agenda point or speaker.

This is a new service with our first edition comprising of an audio stream from a September 2006 meeting. Further items to be added include video content, the ability to select specific agenda points and to review our archived meetings.

Our upcoming and most recent meetings are displayed on the right hand side of this page. To view an archive of a recent meeting simply click on the title of the meeting you wish to view.
